Eileen Gorman is a partner of Blackthorn Law Group, LLP. Ms. Gorman has experience representing clients from early stage to public companies in connection with a variety of business and finance transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, private equity investments, and general corporate matters. She also has experience counseling non-profit entities on formation issues, the process of obtaining and maintaining tax-exempt status, contract negotiations, and corporate governance matters. She has advised entrepreneurs, executive officers, boards of directors, equity holders and strategic investors on issues relating to corporate governance, employment matters, financings, and related transactional matters.

Prior to joining Blackthorn, Ms. Gorman worked as a corporate attorney in the D.C. offices of DLA Piper LLP and Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP. Prior to practicing law, Ms. Gorman served as a Captain in the U.S. Army. Ms. Gorman holds a B.A. in Human Biology from Stanford University (1995). She received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center (2001), where she served as the Managing Editor of the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics.
